Employment Opportunity

ITASCA provides consulting services in groundwater hydrology, contaminant hydrogeology, and aqueous geochemistry mostly for the mining industry. Our Lakewood, Colorado, office is seeking a full-time Senior Hydrogeologist, Engineer, or Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of mining and environmental projects that include hydrogeologic testing and analyses, groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, and technical reporting.

Senior Level

Senior-level positions typically have 10 to 20 years of relevant experience with a record of technical excellence. An advanced degree and a recognized professional registration are expected. Senior staff work independently on complex assignments, supervise co-workers, and manage larger projects or software development. They are expected to prepare proposals, develop work programs, and participate in client development. Senior staff must be able to apply superior verbal and written communication skills in their consulting practice.

Senior Modeler

Senior Modelers typically have 10 to 20 years of relevant experience with a record of technical excellence in groundwater flow modeling. They are expected to be the modeling experts, mentors, and technical reviewers of groundwater flow models within Itasca. They must be able to supervise, manage, and work independently on complex groundwater flow modeling assignments. Senior Modelers are expected to actively promote the continued advancement of Itasca’s modeling skills and capabilities.

Groundwater model code developers work with the MINEDW product manager and in-house coding staff. ITASCA is committed to continually improving MINEDW features, developing user-friendly training materials, and enhancing marketing materials. Code developers are also typically engaged in active groundwater modeling projects.

Senior Project Level

Senior Project staff typically have 8 to 12 years of experience and proven technical capabilities. An advanced degree is typically required. They are expected to work independently and manage small to medium-sized projects. Verbal and written communication skills are necessary and expected to be further developed with additional experience.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent residence status. Foreign travel may be required.

In accordance with Colorado Equal Pay Transparency laws, the annual salary range for a Senior-level position is $105,000-$130,000. The annual salary range for a Senior-Project-level position is $85,000-$105,000.
