Heinz Konietzky rock and soil mechanics & field testing. Dr. Konietzky has designed seismic monitoring systems, performed borehole tests and conducted basic research on geothermal energy. He is experienced in the use of numerical models for rock and soil-mechanics problems and works as a consultant for geotechnical projects in the fields of tunneling, mining, civil engineering, waste isolation and underground flow.

Michael Stahl geotechnical engineering. Mr. Stahl received a degree in geotechnical engineering and applied geology from the University of Applied Sciences TFH Georg Agricola Bochum. He worked as a project engineer in the civil and mining industry before starting his Ph.D .study at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Mr. Stahl’s doctoral thesis is focused on the numerical (PFC3D) and experimental analysis of the interaction between geogrid and soil.

Lothar te Kamp rock and fracture mechanics & laboratory and field testing. Dr. te Kamp has carried out laboratory experiments on rock properties as well as in-situ measurements in boreholes. He has worked on geothermal energy research and is experienced in modeling fractured rock, stress-field behavior and flow processes.

Benedikt Wöhrl experimental geophysics, rock physics, geomechanics. Mr. Wöhrl received a Master of Science degree in Geoscience, with focus on Geophysics, from Ruhr University Bochum. He has experience in laboratory testing, especially triaxial deformation tests and ultrasonic measurements. Mr. Wöhrl’s Master thesis focused on borehole stability and a study concerning the estimation of rock strength from well logs.
